Employee Spotlight – Marcia Ellis, Senior Business Administrator

In the first edition of our Employee Spotlight series, we’re sitting down with Marcia Ellis, our Senior Business Administrator. Marcia is relatively new to our team, but she’s already been getting into the swing of things, helping to keep the business moving quickly on a day-to-day basis.

What is your job role at APS, and what are your main responsibilities?

I work as a Senior Business Administrator at APS. This means I work alongside the project and sales team to help ensure every job is managed efficiently and accurately. I also oversee various accounting responsibilities and manage company and employee certifications essential to industry compliance. Essentially, my responsibility is to keep the organisational gears turning smoothly on a daily basis.

How many years of experience do you have working within dust and fume extraction?

I am new to the industry – but I’m already learning lots!

What did you do prior to working at APS?

Before joining APS, I worked in accounts as a Purchase Ledger Clerk.

What’s your proudest career and personal achievement to date?

One of my proudest achievements was launching my own cake business supplying high-end wedding and celebration cakes, occasionally to a celebrity or well-known company. I’m also proud of making the leap from the US to the UK, embracing a new chapter in my life.
