In the latest part of our meet the team series, we’re talking to one of the newest members of our team, Eleanor Brown, about her role as Business Admin Support, her industry experience, and her goals here at APS.
What are your responsibilities in your role at APS, and what industry experience do you have?
My job at APS is Business Admin Support, and my main responsibilities include chasing payments and sending out invoices. I bring past experience from working in fast-paced industries, so I’m able to get things done efficiently and effectively.
What’s your proudest career achievement so far?
I’m a qualified healthcare assistant, and by proudest achievement so far was when I was signed off as one! I’ve carried over key skills in problem-solving, attention to detail, and good communication, plus it’s great for first aid around the office!
What are your main goals in your role at APS?
I want to grow in the business and keep improving and learning. I have a great team around me, with so many highly experienced people, that are helping me get to know the ins and outs of dust extraction and our customer’s needs.
What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve been given?
The best piece of advice I’ve been given is to just keep asking questions, as it’s how I’ll learn.
The dust extraction industry, and sectors we work with like food and pharmaceutical manufacturing, have so many moving parts. It means everyone around me is constantly learning and adapting too, to make sure we can serve our customers to our best abilities.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It’d have to be steak – cooked by my dad!
What gets you up in the morning (other than an alarm clock)
The constant noise in the house gets me up in the morning, whether it’s doors slamming, dogs barking, or the hair dryer going!
Any other notable hobbies/facts about you?
A fact about me is I danced for 13 years. I also enjoy supporting and watching Leeds United play football.
