Reporting to the Project Manager, our Project Engineer role is central to delivering high-quality dust and fume extraction solutions for our customers across the UK.

You’ll bring strong design expertise, project management experience, and a hands-on approach to meeting client needs from enquiry through to delivery.

Summary of role:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end, from initial customer enquiry to final handover, while producing high-quality engineering designs using SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor. This role will include client site visits during sales enquiries, and preparing accurate layout drawings and specifications for LEV systems, extraction systems and dust collectors, as well as specifying materials.

This position can be home-based with regular office time (minimum one day per week, typically Wednesdays, at our York office) and site travel as required.

What you’ll be doing:

Attending customer meetings, site visits, and surveys to take accurate measurements and understand requirements

Producing engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications using CAD tools

Managing projects from enquiry through to delivery, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met

Designing and specifying materials for LEV and extraction systems and dust collectors

Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver effective extraction solutions

Providing technical expertise, advice, and problem-solving support throughout the project

Man conducts LEV testing and LEV service

What we’re looking for:

Positive attitude, and a desire to contribute as part of a team

Proven experience in both design and management of projects – minimum five years

High proficiency in producing engineering drawings using either or SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor

Transferable industry experience from areas such as HVAC, building services, refrigeration, and air handling

Someone Yorkshire or North West based – near or along the M62

Desirable:

Qualifications – a degree qualification in engineering or a related field is a benefit but not essential

Ducting experience advantageous but not essential

Electrical background advantageous but not essential

Salary and package offered:

Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
